What is the MesoGold Microinfusion?

MesoGold Microinfusion Facial can be used to improve the skin quality of your face, along with any sun-exposed areas such as the neck, décolleté and hands. This is an ideal therapy for aged skin and preventative treatment for those not yet experiencing the full effects of aging skin. Patients can see real results, plumped upskin and an immediate natural glow.Results can be seen within 3-5 days after the treatment and last according to serum applied. It is also recommended to repeat the procedure as per treatment protocols.

How is this different than microneedling?

The 24K MesoGold device allows serum to flow more consistently and right amount inside the epidermis or dermis whereas other microneedling procedures are more superficial. The 24K Meso Gold Stamp is a serum applicator which has hypoallergenic 24k gold plated microneedles that are thinner than hair (0.13mm). The treatment covers a wider area and delivers targeted serums deep into into the layers of the dermis, allowing them to be absorbed more effectively than with a syringe.

How long will it take to see results?

Results can be seen within 3-5 days after the treatment and last according to serums applied. It is also recommended to repeat the procedure 3 to 6 times in order to see more permanent effects.

Is there downtime?

There is little to no downtime with this treatment, however it depends on the concerns and areas being treated. For collagen induction or skin rejuvenation, you expect to be flushed (like a sunburn) for up to 24 hours after the treatment with possible red spots or blotches due to blood spotting. For treatments that involve longer needle depths for damaged deep tissue such as acne scarring or ice-pick scarring, you can expect temporary blotches or skin discolourations as blood will be drawn when targeting deep tissues. Most of our clients remain pink for a few hours and cover up any minor discolourations with makeup.
 

Can I wear makeup after?

No makeup is to be applied immediately as the micro channels in the skin will remain open for at least an hour after the treatment. You may use mineral make-up 4 hours post-treatment.

How many sessions will I need?

Depending on the skin condition, the esthetician will advise you. A minimum of 3 sessions performed 6 – 8 weeks apart is optimal. It is always best to speak to your esthetician and work out the ideal treatment plan for you.

POST Treatment Information:

  • Session times may vary depending on the area being treated; a typical session will last between 60 min. to 90min. Includes the consult, treatment & post treatment protocol.
  • Most clients see an immediate change in their appearance after the first session, with optimum results after multiple sessions.
  • After the treatment, you could experience slight discomfort, swelling and redness (similar to a sunburn) but this passes within 24 – 48 hours.
  • After the treatment, the esthetician will recommend skincare products to minimize complications and enhance the results
  • Your skin will feel dry for the next 3 – 7 days. So, hydrate with the recommended serum, use moisturizer and sunscreen. Your skin may peel slightly (this is normal)
  • You are not to use harsh exfoliants, Alpha-Hydroxy acids, Beta-Hydroxy acids or retinol, glycolic, salicylic acid skincare products for 1 – 3 weeks prior and 1 – 3 weeks post treatment
Depending on the skin condition, we will recommend a minimum of five sessions performed 6 – 8 weeks apart. It is always best to speak to your clinician to work out the ideal treatment plan for you.
