Peels

At Bluefern Spa we offer a variety of corrective acid & nutritive vitamin peels at different levels: gentle,  medium depth or advanced. They are safe for all skin types.

Gentle facial peels,  commonly referred to as ‘LUNCH TIME PEEL’, contain low concentrations of acid blends, applied in 1 or 2 layers. With little or NO DOWNTIME, you won’t spend days peeling and will have next to zero interruption of your regular schedule. These are ideal for all skin types, and especially those that want a chemical peel but are not ready to commit to altering their lifestyle, or taking the time to prepare for higher level peels.

Medium facial peels will produce light to moderate peeling or flaking (similar to peeling after a sunburn) for 2-3 days in most cases. Important to note that you might be required to prep your skin & in some cases and post care is also needed. Changes to your usual routine may also be necessary, including but not limited to reducing exercise/sweating, staying out of pools and chemicals, limiting make-up application and stopping your usual home care routine if it includes products with retinols, Alphs Hydroxy Acids, etc. For all Fitzpatrick scale skin types.

Advanced dermal peels: This level of chemical peels is the deepest that can be done outside of a medical office. 5- 10 days of downtime and peeling can be expected. As with medium peels, it will be necessary for you to use professional skin care products, and post peel care products to achieve optimum results. Changes to your usual routine for a few days will also be necessary: reducing exercise/sweating, staying out of pools and chemicals, away from heat sources and stopping your usual home care routine if it includes retinols, AHA, etc.

Indications: Melasma, Hyperpigmentation, Actinic keratosis, Sun damage, Premature aging, Acne

• Intensive anti-aging treatment

Skin care prep (at home for two weeks prior) protocol and after peel skin care products might be necessary.

Indications: works just like Perfect Peel for Melasma, Hyperpigmentation, Aging, Sun Damage, Acne, Acne Scaring
